She also runs an advice blog called Maria's Farm Country Kitchen, and has authored several books on organic cooking and gardening. Maria has been awarded the Rachel Carson Award by the National Audubon Society, the Award for the Health and Dignity of Women by the United Nations Population Fund, and the International Quality of Life Award by Auburn University.
