Single Story Taken From Vanishing And Other Stories
As a young girl, Tabitha’s father mysteriously walks out the front door, with nothing but his coat and umbrella, never to return. But as we learn in “Vanishing” nothing disappears completely from our lives. Tabitha vanishes from her own life, and we are left wondering if we can ever really know a person, or ourselves. With elegance and craft, Deborah Willis’s stories linger, as her characters vanish between the pages.
