Lesley J. Rogers is emeritus professor at the University of New England, Australia, and a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science. She completed her first degree with Honors at Adelaide University, South Australia, and then a Doctor of Philosophy followed by a Doctor of Science at the University of Sussex, UK.
