Longarm is in a real mess this time. Billy Vail, his boss and good friend, has asked him to escort two very different men to Denver for two very different reasons. One is an accountant charged with embezzlement who’s to testify against a shady government official. The other is a friend of the Vail family who escaped from a mental institution. They want him safe at home with them, regardless of his condition.
