Kenneth Anger

Kenneth Anger is an actor and iconic underground experimental filmmaker. He works exclusively on short films and has produced almost 40 works that have “elements of erotica, documentary, psychodrama, and spectacle” (the Kinsey Institute). Some of his most remarkable and influential shorts include “Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome” (1954–66), “Scorpio Rising (1963), and “Lucifer Rising” (1970–81). Esquire UK has called Anger a “documentarian of Hollywood’s dark side” and a “legend of the counterculture.”
