Alex Hutchinson

Award-winning journalist ALEX HUTCHINSON writes the popular biweekly column "Jockology" for the Globe and Mail. A former competitive long distance runner for the Canadian national team, Hutchinson has a Ph.D. in physics and spent time as a researcher for the U.S. National Security Agency. He is currently a senior editor at Canadian Running magazine and a contributing editor at Popular Mechanics.
